AOD = Epic? Possibly...I SUPPOSE?

AOD, con wise---ehhh, it was small (which was a known fact), the place was nice, but there wasn't that much to do...really. We mostly walked around and looked at either art or dealer hall stuff. When that got boring (which is sort of did...EVEN THOUGH there were tons of talented artist, I just didn't have cash on me the whole trip so I didn't buy anything at the con :P) we left to Japantown and chilled there. Ate at a nice Japanese restaurant and checked out some of the shops. I love Japantown, it's so nice and pretty *~*;

Ahem..back to AOD. So I only brought my Ayame costume right? It was simple and kind of boring after a while....when I wasn't with Momiji and Shigure I felt like I blended in everywhere. Then I wore a tie with my shirt unbutton the next day but people started to mistake me for Squalo Superbi from Reborn! lol.. WHICH in fact I love Squalo--and had to admit after I looked in the mirror that I did look like I was cosplaying him. XD Later on I changed (both days actually) because the long wig bugged the crap out of me. It tangles SO easily. I'm buying my wig from CosplayDNA(ebay store) next time because those wigs are gorgeous and around the same freakin' price! They're also heat resistant and de-tangle very easily :D But yeah....I kind of regretted not bringing my Chelsea cosplay (e_e); I would have entered it in the costume contest with Keika as Leon (Since he's from TOD too). My other friends entered though. Kay-chan and Ne-chan entered their Disgaea II costumes and won..BEST OF SHOW!!!!! I was SOOO happy and I was very happy to hear they went by "PaperSwordPart" because that's our cosplay group! At first I wasn't sure if they'd win. There were A LOT of awesome costumes!! Some of the ones that won though I was kind of like , "Ehh.." but I mean...the judges saw something in those ones so whatever, it's cool :) Everyone deserves to win sometimes!

I'm happy they won, not just because they are my friends but because a lot of money and work went into those freakin' costumes...@_@ They went for every detail! It was crazy...and to think I almost brought Flonne too, meaning I would have been up there with them too. XP Oh well, it's fine..... My other two friends won some Hall cosplay stuff, I was happy for them as well. I was the only one who didn't win anything..because I only brought my Ayame one which I'm sure they thought I bought or something. I don't know. It's totally fine ^___^;;; (I SHOULD HAVE BROUGHT KAI, DANG'IT....XD Naaaaah). Oh yeah! I met my friend "Rose"(Not sure if that's your real name or what you just go by..sorry T__T) on here too! She had an awesome Amaterasu cosplay, she won second runner up for it too. I was happy for her, she worked hard with that dang fur lol. :)

Ahh, but yaaaaaaah. Looooong post. I think I'll make a video right now. I don't know. I really want to but I feel tired!! Ehhhgheheheheh.

I look absolutely wonderful----NOT. Freakin' achne due to stress this week is still on my face! I hate achne... :[ I miss having perfect skin (okay...not perfect, but close!) Grrrrrrrr.....I'll just have to bring my MaryKay make up, because it's healthier and covers better than my covergirl. Blegh. I won't have to wear a lot of make up since I'll be a boy most of the time but I still need to look sort of flawless, I'll be Ayame for goodness sakes!! :O

Anywaaaaaaaaay~!!!!!!!! Going to eat out with my mom, she gets paid today and wants to take me out because I'll be gone to this AND Texas, she'll miss me... I'll miss my mom. ;~; I love my Mom. :D!


But yeah. Um. Pretty excited. I miss San Francisco *~*! & I love my cosplay group! (even though all of them couldn't make it to this, the ones I am closest to are).

Okay...going to go brush my bird's nest out and straighten this mop (my morning hair..I fell asleep after I showered so it dried crazy~)

Good news. Everything is packed and ready to go.

Bad news. My Chelsea cosplay is not going and I need to email the masquarade people to let them know I will no longer be entering the costume contest. I think I'll chill and just watch everyone else (yes, I know..this is the second time I bailed out of a masquerade walk-on. :[ ) Unfortunately...the costume is more of a mess than I thought and I didn't have the right paint to fix it nor the patience to get the wig goin' for me.

It just made me mad...so I went and worked on my p. Agitha cosplay. xD I got the white shirt top of the dress done...and added the black cuffs at the end of the poofy sleeves. ~

Aside from that I am reaaallly excited and I can't wait ^~^!! The con isn't until Saturday but my friends and I are going a day early to celebrate her birthday at the Rainforest Cafe, which I think is near pier 39. I think we're going to stop by the hotel, sign in and then go to our rooms, drop our crap off and leave to eat. :] What I'm excited for is to see the cool hotel, hang out in Japantown and cosplay! Eating yummy food is nice though too.... ^________^

I think I'll write before I leave tomorrow morning. We're leaving here at 2pm..so we'll probably get into SF around 5? Yeah....okay, cya guys!

AOD? Ready? ALMOST---Yes, almost!

OKAY soooooooooo....Ayame is totally finished and has been for the past week or so buuutttt I plan on taking my Chelsea cosplay too to match with Keika when she wears her Leon costume! I'll probably wear Ayame half Saturday and Chelsea the rest of the half.... then on Sunday I'll wear Ayame again because he is comfortable--unless I decide he isn't and go for Chelsea. XD

I only need to do the following:

-Pack for AOD

-Touch up Chelsea's boots, knee-pads and fix up the wig again

-Gather some treats to bring for the hotel room.

Yep. That's all...then when I get back I will be home for ONE day then go to Texas the next morning. I got to get up at the crack of freakin' dawn and then head to the airport at 7am, board at like...8:20 and leave at 8:45. I'll arrive in TX at like 3 something but it'll only be like 1pm in CA. :3 Apparently my travel time is like 4 hours and 45 mins? I have to switch planes at the LAX(LA airport) and quickly rush to my other plane that will be boarding right when I get there. Gee, that will be fun. I have no time to get lost. I just have to rush over! I'll probably ask someone where it is as soon as I get out, so I can hurry over. Ughh~!!

Anyway...I'm going to go edit a video and upload it to my youtube! :] Bai guyz~

- Dad is moving to another place at the end of Feb but I will be in Texas all of Feb so this week is my last week to do it all!

-AOD is this weekend, got to pack costumes

-Texas trip...leaving next Tuesday EARLY in the frickin' morning.

Yeah. I'm all sore and tired of it, but I mean...what can ya do! I want to get my packing done tomorrow and then I'll have Wednesday and Thursday to do the other packing and work on Fanime projects (cause I'll be busy in TX..)

I'z had my cosplay group over---okay not everyone but the closer members of the group. We all worked on our AOD stuff (We're the only ones going to this cause only a few could go).

What better way to recycle bugs?

I meant to post this a few days ago when I finished it. Here's Princess Agitha's bug necklace...(that I still might touch up because ONE bug is facing the wrong way and yah..)

Also...I tried on Keika's wig for her Leon Magnus crossplay. I love wearing short wigs, they're sooo easy to deal with. -__-;

Cosplay 3 day weekend!

Alright, soooo...I haven't really been online because I've been at Kailey's most of the weekend! Since Friday she has had some of our cosplay group over to work on stuff..and it has been CRAZY. XD I wish I had the videos on my camera but sadly I don't. Fortunately though Kay-chan does so she'll be collaborating all of them to make some videos (yes, more than one because we recorded so much crazy crap XD). It has been very fun but sadly the weekend is over. We are very excited for our trip to San Francisco and AOD next weekend!! I just hope everyone can finish their costumes in time. ^-^;

I don't really have any pictures to put up right now... Ugh. Okay. I lied. I have some but not with me. I'll make a little video and eventually put it up. Eheheheh. I don't really have any progress since I'm done with Ayame and I'm helping my friend's with theirs right now.

I have 3 wigs to style, mostly two but I also need to fix Ayame's bangs because they're too long. I need to finish styling Keika's Leon Magnus wig and Kay-chan's Shigure wig. I'm also going to help her finish her school boy uniform because she's still working on her other costume. @___@ So yeah...kind of stressful and fun at the same time!

Mercedes Progress - 1/16/10

Almost done with putting the tiara together! Just need to add some painting finishes to the flowers, as well as the tiara and then put the flowers along the top. ^~^ I'm actually happy with how the "vine" tiara turned out! It's actually durable and not all fragile. :3!

I'm going to work some more on it tonight and possibly do a little update video for my youtube channel! I might add some pictures of my friend's party last night. Well---it was more of a get-together. It was pretty funny... XDD CRAZY stuff happened. Of course crazy stuff happens when cosplayers get bored in one house...with no 'rents. :D

Yippee! Housing opened for Fanime!

So after waiting FOREVER for the housing link to work on Fanime's site I decided to check out the forums. Turns out they posted a link on there under "Housing and Facilities" on the 11th of this that takes you to a different page that you can actually BOOK a room on to get the discount. As soon as I saw it I posted it on my cosplay group's forum and we got the room. (Yeah, we have a forum because there's 9 people in the group and it keeps us organized).

I'm pretty excited, everything except transportation has been worked out for our trip. Luckily it is only 2 hours from here, unlike AX which is almost 5 hours. ;/ Ahh...but I do love AX!!!

So far we're still doing our Odin Sphere group but the other two groups (Twilight Princess & Persona) have less people because some of us dropped out of one or the other. Our Odin Sphere group will have 8 people in it...we'll be a gathering in itself XD!

n__n Oh, I ALMOST worked on Mercedes' flower tiara today but got distracted by my fiance. He's going to help me with her weapon. I'm really happy about it! It's nice to know he somewhat cares for what I love...and willing to help! I will some how get him to cosplay...eventually. He's just anti-social and hates cameras. XD Ahhh I love my weirdo, he treats me so well and lovingly....My birthday present is my trip to Fanime! Then I get married the next month and moooove. Crazy eh? Yeah. Crazy O.O

Welllll I think I will try to go work on some of my cosplay stuff!!! I need to...I have wedding planning to do before June so I need to NOT wait last minute -_-; I want to finish my costumes..

Ayame Sohma - Finished!

So It should NOT have taken as long as it did to finish this. I procrastinated a lot. It was pretty easy and my first costume where I actually used a real pattern... XD It was fun and I am decently happy with it. I can't wait until AOD!!! I love cosplaying with my friends. It's going to be so fun---I miss it!

Fanime Badge - Purchased!

I'm officially going to Fanime con...which I'm totally stoked about. I can't WAIT to go. We're finally all going as a group with our group cosplays. It's going to be fantastic.. ^^;


Ugh, I slept in way too late today. Keika called me and woke me up, but I told her I was glad!! I don't know why I slept in so long... Anyway, she came over and we talked. Then Robbie came over and chilled with us. I made some food and they watched me play Harvest Moon. Robbie had to leave early so Keika watched me play the game and helped me figure out some of the puzzles I had to solve. @@; This new one (Animal Parade) is pretty cute, it has more of a plot and more puzzles you need to figure out before you can do other normal things.

Oh YEAH...I possibly may be getting some red contacts for my Mercedes and even my Dark Sheik cosplay. :D I've never put in contacts before so I'm pretty nervous about the whole thing @_@; But we'll see how it goes.


Anyway...I don't feel that good so I'm going to get offline now. Good night.

Movies + Cosplay = BAD

Everytime I put on a movie, my friends are too distracted and don't get any progress done...XD Sooooo next time, I'm not puttin on a dang movie! I think I'll put on some nice little classical music or something upbeat but not distracting.Hehe. At least I get to see them though...I just get anxious to see progress :D!!!! Oh, I sewed on more buttons and added the white to the cuffs of my uniform top. I keep thinking I'll finish and then I run into something else. I SHOULD be done tomorrow!!>---

I'm watching this movie called "Koizora"(恋空). It's pretty cute...but dramatic. (o_o); Ah well...the Japanese romance movies and 'doramas' are usually pretty dramatic. XD People get PWNED, especially the girls! Heheheh.

Ayame Sohma Prog 1-6-09

I finished my pants for Ayame today. I kept messing up though so it took a while but now they look nice! ^~^ I also worked on the jacket. It's almost done...I just need to finish sewing on the buttons and adding white along the collar and sleeve cuffs. I didn't finish because I went to a party that was held for my Uncle's birthday.... We played boardgames all night and it got pretty intense. I love my family XD

I'd say I'm about 90% done with my Ayame cosplay. Pretty easy cosplay though.....but it'll be really fun being one of my favorite male characters. :D!! THAT's what matters.

Le Button Clan & Molestaches.

Today I hung out with Callisto and Kay-chan aka two members of my cosplay group. :] It was nice! I got some work done but not as much as I wanted to!! Luckily Ne-chan and Callisto are coming back tomorrow to work on some stuff. We got to finish our crap for AOD. It's this month!! Rawr! Can't WAIT. ^~^ Ohhh how I love Japantown! The Kabuki Hotel is sooo pretty!

Buuuut uhh yeah! I will have some cosplay progress pictures up tomorrow. For now you shall all survive on our button clan of molestaches. ("Molester mustaches" - My fiance calls them this-!)

Finding the right color of fabric..

..why must this be so freakin' difficult?

So JoAnn's was having a New Years Day sale and I figured I would take advantage and buy some fabric for Agitha's dress. The prices were great but I had a hard time finding colors to match! I ended up getting something a bit too dark and then another needs like a hint of green so I plan on buying some green dye and adding a green touch to it. I will test a small piece first of course. ;/

Anyway...I'm kind of disappointed. I looked through both JoAnn's that I know of and didn't find anything to really match up the colors as accurate as I wanted to. :[ I found the colors in other fabrics but they wouldn't look right and were too shiny or thick. If I'm really not happy I will freakin' order online or just try and dye up something to match. I have looked at Wal-Mart but their fabric is a bit cheap. Still though. I think I will look again...just to make sure.

In anycase...I'm pretty tired. Robby went home this morning and I miss him already. I will miss snuggling up to him before bed. :[ He's such fun to be around. He may seem pretty quiet but once you get to know him and he opens up...it's great. He's always got me laughing or just feeling happy. ^~^ The more time we spend together the closer we feel and the more we understand each other... It also gets harder being apart! But yeah....I'm going to go shower and sleep. I'm pretty tired and my nose has been all runny today. I already got sick last month though! Freakin' sucks!

Happy New Year, everyone!

This year I plan to cosplay more challenging characters and do a few more anime ones as well.

Aside from cosplay though I plan on getting married and starting a new life in Texas. :3 It'll be a big change but I will be happy spending the rest of my life with Robby. We just work so well together, it's amazing. n_n;


I hope all my friends had a great New Years night! Robby will be leaving on Saturday and so I will get straight back to my cosplay stuff! >:3 Don't worry!
